I had the opportunity to fly to New York to capture these Oheka Castle fairytale wedding photos. Oheka Castle has been on my shooting bucketlist for many years, so I was beyond thrilled when Brittany reached out to me about her enchanted wedding. It certainly did not disappoint! Brittany and Pat brought “fairytale” to the next level with every detail of their day.
Start with the perfect setting…a magnificent castle hidden away in Long Island, NY. Add in lush florals, exquisite gold details, and a magical Galia Lahav wedding gown. This wedding is a real-life version of the wonderful fairytale stories that we all read as children.
The wedding coordinator looked at me like I was crazy when I told her that I would be taking the wedding gown for a 10-minute walk, to photograph it on this rotunda. She couldn’t fathom why I wanted to take the dress away from the GORGEOUS bridal room where all of the other photographers shoot it. When I returned from my trek, she said “I’m gonna need to go follow your work because I have never seen anyone else do something like that”.
When you have a vision, you have to commit to it! Even if it makes you look a little crazy. Plus, let’s be real…. Galia Lahav deserves the extra effort!

I loved these champagne bridesmaid gowns. It was so elegant and understated! 
I’m always a fan of romantic and neutral wedding florals. These dusty rose and cream bouquets look so timeless! Pedestals Floral Decorators did such an amazing job!
This venue holds so much history! I was so glad that we researched ahead of time and made sure we got access to this hidden pool room. This scene looks like something out of my wildest dreams!
At first glance, you may only see a bride coming down the aisle with her father. But if you look a little closer, you will notice a cute little flower girl who stopped halfway to pick up all of the petals!
Oheka Castle makes a spectacular ceremony backdrop from this angle.
These skeleton key bottle openers were the perfect favor to tie in the enchanted forest theme. I love how they were presented in this gold vintage frame with moss!
Epic tree centerpieces brought an enchanted forest vibe to the elegant ballroom reception.
And they lived happily ever after…
