Following their Hard Rock Punta Cana destination wedding, I had the opportunity to shoot these Altos De Chavon day after wedding photos of Alex and Kelsey. We made the 1-hour drive from Punta Cana to Lo Romana and it felt like we were transported to a magical European city! Altos De Chavon is a recreation of a 16th century Mediterranean village, that sits atop the Chavon river. Although we had an idea of what to expect, I think we were all overwhelmed by how beautiful it actually was! With stunning architecture and breathtaking views, this location felt like the set of a movie!
With destination weddings, I always aim to schedule an additional portrait session with the clients. I feel that when they have traveled so far to their wedding location, one day of photos is not enough! It’s really special to take another day and venture off to another location, to capture more images in the beautiful destination that they chose!
