If you don’t, well then now would be a good time for me to introduce him :)
We’ve been together for almost 4 years and with me being a photographer for most of that time…I thought it was kind of ridiculous that we hadn’t ever done a session of our own.
Well, better late than never!!
A couple weeks ago, after much planning and stressing on my part(outfits…locations…hair…accessories..), we got in front of the camera of the lovely Desiree Shuey. She is so immensely talented and I just love her! She listened to all of my ideas and blew me away with the final result. Thanks so much Des!
And OF COURSE the day wouldn’t be complete without my right hand girl, Celeste!!! She did an amazingggg job on my hair and make-up. (Seriously, you should’ve seen me before she did her thing…scary!)
Besides the amazing photos, that I can’t wait to order a million canvases, prints, and albums of…I got a major learning experience out of it. It was seriously cool being on the other side of the whole process. The weeks of preparation leading up to the session, freaking out when the outfits I ordered online almost didn’t arrive on time, the nervousness the day of, the relief/thrill after it’s over, the excitement of seeing the photographer’s blog post of the session, the agonizing wait to receive the disc…..
To all of my clients: I have now walked in your shoes!!!
And the BIGGEST piece of advice I can offer you after this endeavor is: Don’t be shy. The cooler you act…. the cooler you will look. There was times when Desiree would tell me to really “Work It” and I was like
“Ummmm work WHAT?”. Really, I am NO model. But all of the pictures when I felt the dumbest….acted the boldest…let down my inhibitions…came out the BEST. So when your turn comes to be in front of the camera (Mine, hopefully!) all I can say is be cocky. Act cooler, hotter, bolder than you really think you are…and you will be so impressed with how it turns out!

ummmmm AMAZING! Des did a fantastic job and Kristen! you look so so gorgeous! I am in love with the second location and style. Celeste rocked socks off… yet again. You guys look perfect!
Absolutely beautiful! On both parts, Desiree is an excellent photographer. She captured ya’lls beauty without a doubt. She brought out alot of sexiness! And Kristen you are absolutely lovely in every way. My fav is the last one. The sexiness and love that I see in there is wonderful. :D
