Lauren loved Nick from the first time she saw him skate boarding at the park across the street from her house.
At only 15 years old, she told her mom “I’m going to marry him someday”.
Me, being the “good girl” and “mother” of our circle of friends, did not approve of Lauren’s obsession with Nick. I mean he was 5 years older than us…and at 15, thats like a HUGE difference ;) I kept telling Lauren “NO!”
Despite my protests, I changed Lauren’s last name in my phone to “King”….Nick’s last name of course, just to give Lauren a laugh. And the funny thing is…after all of the years, I never changed it.
Last month, on a gorgeous Saturday evening in Woodland Hills, my high school best friend, Lauren….
Became Lauren King :)
I was a bridesmaid, but of course couldn’t resist bringing my camera along to tell a small snippet of the story I watched evolve over the years.
