This is a rare post. I don’t shoot families too often. In fact I set a limit for myself on how often I will shoot a family of 5+members. It’s not that I don’t enjoy it, it’s just that working with couples and small groups is my strong point. I take each shoot very seriously and want to do my absolute best on each. Therefore, I can better perform and serve my occasional family client, by keeping the number of families I photograph to a minimum :) And there is definitely something very gratifying about taking a job that is outside of your usual routine and doing it successfully!!
Theresa, my self-proclaimed #1 fan, celebrated her 25 year wedding anniversary with her husband Amon, this month. She has been following my work for over a year now since I did photos of her grand-daughter, Zoey, who is the daughter of my long time friend, Jori. See how that’s all connected there? ;) Theresa is such a supporter on my Facebook page and blog….always leaving sweet comments and making me feel good. I knew that she ABSOLUTELY deserved one of the spots for my rare family shoots. Especially when she told me that they had never had family photos done! I was honored to be the girl for the job!
Jori had a great idea and suggested a shoot location that was near the church Theresa and Amon go married at, so that we could stop by there for some shots too! I lovedddddd it :)
Oh….and one last thing….during this shoot, Theresa adopted me into her family. Yeah!!!! This is what “25 years of marriage and still so in love” looks like :)The three G’s. Haha, yepp…they’re names all start with “G”.Zoey, the first grandchild, and the first girl in the family, is sooooo loved by her grandparents!!!I’ve been photographing these 3 since Zoey was still in Jori’s belly!!!This was taken in same spot that the photo in the frame was taken!
Such a beautiful family!
