{This & That} Ireland Site-seeing & A self portrait session!

December 6, 2011

This may be the longesttttt blog post ever, but really, how can I condense the trip of a lifetime into anything less. It just wasn’t happenin. So…bear with me :)

This entire trip had me and my camera SO happy. Sooooo much eye candy. I could spend my life there just shooting.

This blog post is MY view of Ireland. Everything we saw. Everything we did. My tourist photos :)

Hang tight till the end for the session I did of Andrew and I with my tripod!

The trip started on our layover when we took the train into the lovely city of Chicago for some deep dish pizza! Our first night in Dublin. The Croke park stadium. I’m not a sports fan, but this was AWESOME :)The Guiness Brewery Storehouse. At the end of the tour we got to hang out in the Gravity Bar at the top of the Storehouse that had awesome views of the city! This dog looked JUST like Rocko. But his name was Romeo. I think he is Rocko’s European twin ;)Yummy dinner at Elephant and Castle!St. Patrick’s Cathedral from the outside. And from the inside….sooooo beautiful!!!!!More site-seeing around Dublin. And then the adventure started…..driving….on the opposite side of the car….and road.A little friend we met :)The Springfort Hall hotel in Mallow. Our little car was kinda packed…..Blarney Castle in Cork.Views from the top of the castle! You will be seeing much more of these castle ruins in the amazing couples session I did at them.  So here are some teasers of the sites for now ;)The Jameson Distillery in Cork. The sites we saw while driving through the country we breathtaking!!!The Quaint little town of Dingle.Dick Mack’s in Dingle. SUCH a cool little pub filled with character and history!!Adare Manor in Co. Limerick. You will be seeing MUCH more of this stunning venue in a styled session I did here! The Cliffs of Moher. A must see!!!!!See those little dots at the top? Those are people. These cliffs are MASSIVE.I completed my dream of staying in a castle by staying at the amazinggggg Dromoland Castle!  The perfect ending to the trip.I couldn’t resist a mini-session of us on these beautiful grounds. Thanks to my tripod, it was able to happen. Although my shutter remote didn’t feel like working….so there was a whole lot of self-timer and running involved to make this happen ;)

I hope you enjoyed these photos and I hope that right now you are thinking “Dang, I wanna go there”. But even more…I hope you DO! Life is too short to not see more than just your little corner of the world. I always have had a heart for travel, but my eyes weren’t opened to just how important it is until this trip.

My advice to you…is if at all possible, get out there and do it!
