Shannon started working with Jeff back in 2010. While she did notice him instantly, she just ignored it, because she was in a relationship at the time. When Jeff first saw Shannon, he thought she was gorgeous and he needed to talk to her, because there was something very special about her! The timing wasn’t right initially, but when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be…and Jeff was persistent! The other day, I came across this quote from The Office, that really reminded me of them:
“Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, which was just to.. wait. And, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that… I was waiting for my wife.”-Jim Halpert
No matter what the road was that brought these two together, I am glad that it did. They love each other and they LAUGH together (oh do they laugh!). I can’t wait to document that day in May when they are united for life!
Yeah that quote from the Office ALWAYS makes me cry!
