{Yvette and Rich} Malibu Beach Engagement Photos

When Yvette first emailed me, I had a really hard time fathoming that their love story was real. It sounded more like the plot of a romantic comedy, than a REAL story….

But, low and behold….they DID meet on a safari in South Africa. They DID fall in love in the midst of adventure, while climbing sand dunes in the Namib Desert, bungee jumping off Victoria Falls, and spending long nights chatting in Fish River Canyon. They DID pursue a long distance relationship for two years. ( And by long distance, I mean across the world!) Rich IS from New Zealand….and has a REAL accent. And most importantly….they really DID beat the long distance odds, and they ARE tying the knot in Maui next May.

Yes, I am still having a hard time believing it! Their story is one of the most romantic I have heard….in my opinion, it could rival most big screen romances!

I am so thrilled to be a part of this very special time in Yvette and Rich’s lives. I can hardly wait to pack my bags for Hawaii and document the moment when they finally say “I do”!

When they had known each other for about 6 months, Rich came to visit Yvette in California. Upon his departure, Yvette wrote out the post card shown below, and slipped it in the book he was reading, for him to find on the plane ride home. She was right, they did make it work!
