Traveling to Maui, to document Yvette and Rich’s destination wedding was an absolute DREAM. There’s just something about destination weddings….the laid-back atmosphere, because everyone is on vacation! It’s definitely a perfect way to begin a marriage.

Rich and Yvette’s story is too cool to not share again. Here is the summary of it, that I blogged with their engagement photos:

When Yvette first emailed me, I had a really hard time fathoming that their love story was real. It sounded more like the plot of a romantic comedy, than a REAL story….

But, low and behold….they DID meet on a safari in South Africa. They DID fall in love in the midst of adventure, while climbing sand dunes in the Namib Desert, bungee jumping off Victoria Falls, and spending long nights chatting in Fish River Canyon. They DID pursue a long distance relationship for two years. ( And by long distance, I mean across the world!) Rich IS from New Zealand….and has a REAL accent. And most importantly….they really DID beat the long distance odds.

Naturally, a story this special, would call for yet another adventure for their wedding! With the families coming from two separate parts of the world, Maui was the perfect choice for this magical day!
