I had the pleasure of photographing this California fairytale elopement in Mendocino. The bride, Christina, is the owner of The Enchantment Box, which is a fairytale-themed monthly subscription box that includes vegan items from women-owned businesses. So it only makes sense that her own wedding day would be nothing short of a magical experience!
Christina and Matthew decided to sneak away to Mendocino for a romantic elopement. We did their first set of portraits in the forest, with stunning Friesian horses. Following this, we headed back to The Stanford Inn eco-resort for their ceremony. Finally, we ended the evening on the Mendocino coast with jaw-dropping ocean views.
The beauty of elopements is the flexibility in the day. You truly can have it all!

We had to call a tow truck and while we waited, Matthew somehow coaxed her to unlock the door!
My favorite thing about shooting by the ocean is the small window of time right after the sun slips below the horizon. During this time, everything looks like a painting! It’s a short and fleeting few moments, but it is so magical to take advantage of!
