I could make a list the size of a phonebook of all the reasons why being a wedding photographer is RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING….
One of the things on the list would definitely be shooting engagement sessions. I love them soooo much!
This is why I offer them for free with every wedding package….because I want every client to do one :)
It’s such a crucial time for us to get to know each other. And for them to find out before the wedding how awesomely photogenic and attractive they are on camera.
I could sense Angie’s nerves at the beginning of the session. I knew where they were coming from….these pictures were important to her and she wanted them to be perfect. After all the years they have been together, the two of them had never done a session like this before. And being in front of the camera in a new situation tends to make you feel superrrr vulnerable….
However, once I started to direct them, the chemistry went BOOM!!!! And they were total naturals.
Seriously….
My intern, Krystal, came along on this session to see how I direct my clients and how the whole interaction process works….and part way through I turned to her and said “Maybe this isn’t the best example for you to learn from…it’s not supposed to be this easy!!!” Haha ;)
But what do you expect when you’ve got two gorgeous people who are so crazy in love with eachother??? Sparks fly!!!
I’m really looking forward to shooting their wedding in just a few weeks!! It’ll be here before we know it! :)

I love this shoot! Her first dress was beautiful. The one laying on the log, love! And the one where she is laying on the sand and he is looking at here, priceless! Hot couple!
