From the first time I saw these two together, I knew they were meant for eachother. As they sat there on the couch in Cari’s home, giggling with eachother and taking turns sharing stories from their relationship and how they met, I told them that they reminded me of an E-harmony commercial. As I learned more about them and how they met, I got to see even more how much they were meant for eachother. Their relationship started when they met in church (Well technically “meeting” would come months after secretly admiring eachother from a distance!). And even though it’s been some time since the day they met, their connection has never strayed from what initiated it….their faith. Cari and Morgan have a relationship that is all about God, and it’s such a beautiful thing! It’s definitely easy to see that the two of them being together is His work. I had such a great time capturing these images from their engagement session and just having a blast hanging out with them. I can hardly wait till the wedding :)
We started the session out at Victoria Gardens for a classy, uptown look.We then headed to the hills of La Verne for some more casual, romantic shots. Which coincidentally happens to be just a stone’s throw away from their wedding venue!!Awhile ago, my friend Ty Lamothe incorporated some shots with a bible in one of her sessions and I couldn’t wait to try something similar for Cari and Morgan’ photos. I had dreamed up this amazing image in my head of them kneeling and reading the bible together combined with some dreamy evening light. I love the connection in these images and I am so happy that they turned out like I had perfectly envisioned in my mind.Cari, you are one good lookin’ woman!!!!The sunset on the evening of their session was one of the most vivid I have EVER seen. One of those ones that you pull off to the side of the road just to watch….it was so amazing to shoot in and made for some really dreamy colors! And……as a bonus….I would like to share with you a peek at how I conduct a session. (Through the eyes of Kay, who came along for the session!) I didn’t even know that she was photographing me….but let’s just say that I was quite surprised by them! lol
Here is me demonstrating how NOT to dip:Here is me demonstrating….well i don’t exactly know what…but probably something really important….HA!And here are those average everyday images that you expect to see of a photographer at work. Please refer to these and disregard the other two if you are hoping to book a “normal” photographer hahah ;)xoxo
