In April of 2010, I did a photography internship in Nashville with Sarah Barlow. During my time there, I built a lasting friendship with not only Sarah, but also my 3 fellow interns: Shannon, Kay, and Megs. Last fall, I had the opportunity to go to Chicago to shoot a wedding with Sarah. This year, surprisingly, has set me up with opportunities to see all three of my fellow interns too! Shannon and I have visited eachother several times (she’s in NorCal!), Kay was here for a visit last week, and Megs will be coming in just a couple of weeks! Too much fun :)
Kay is from Kentucky and her visit last week was her first time to the west coast. I had a blast showing her around! I just can’t believe how fast it went by. Between tons of shooting, some shopping, and lot’s of site-seeing, our days were packed!
I wanted to blog a little snippet of our fun day in LA :)

We started our day out with the breathtaking views from the Griffith Observatory.
We then headed to Hollywood Blvd…..and….hung out with Leonardo Dicaprio?! Lol ;)
We then spent a good amount of the afternoon hanging out near the Santa Monica Pier :)
And…just as I was telling Kay that California isn’t what alot of people think it is…and they’re usually aren’t celebrities walking all around and movies being filmed wherever you go….we walk right into a film set on the beach! Haha! They were filming a Slim Jim commercial! (I only know this, because we were nosey and asked! hehe)
As we were sitting on the beach, I freaked out when I saw what I thought was a small spider crawling by me. At closer glance, I realized that it was a tinyyyyy little crab! I got him to hang onto this shell and model for me for a little bit ;)
