The idea for The Gilded Workshop began sometime in 2016. I had been following Liz Franco Photography on Instagram for quite awhile and was a huge fan of her dreamy work. It turns out that she admired mine as well and we ended up in a DM conversation, discussing the possibility of a potential collab. We decided to come together and create a workshop experience that would fully immerse our attendees in the process of learning, growth, and connection. And thus…. The Gilded Workshop was born!

We rented a beautiful private estate in Temecula wine country, and 10 amazing photographers from around the world (as far as Puerto Rico!) came and stayed with us. We spent 4 days teaching shooting, editing, branding, and business at this gorgeous and peaceful retreat. The experience was truly one-of-a-kind and went so far beyond just the educational content. We had “family” dinners, an epic Target outing, late night dance-offs, and memories to last a lifetime.

I am feeling so blessed by this time with these amazing people and my continued journey of growing as an educator.

The house we rented was a gorgeous French farmhouse and the livingroom made the perfect cozy classroom!

So many fun memories! A few favorites were when Liz and I jumped in the hot tub fully-clothed and when we went to McDonald’s in tulle princess skirts.

The highlight of the workshop was definitely our epic shootout at The Humphrey’s Estate. We had a teen girl, a mother-daughter, an engaged couple, and a wedding couple, to be sure to offer a diverse portfolio experience for all of our attendees. Thanks to our wonderful vendors, the styling was pure magic and the attendees all left with some great content!
