Since my team and I recently passed the halfway mark in the series, I thought it was about time I tell you all a little more about the series. How it got started, who’s behind it all, what we’ve done, and what’s to come!
Like every good story, I will start at the beginning….
Although we didn’t know it at the time. The Fantasy Series was born a year and a half ago, with the Enchanted Love shoot. {Photo below}
I was releasing my new website and brand, and needed to shoot something that reflected everything I had been dreaming up. Celeste, a friend from high school had gotten her cosmetology license, and we decided to pair up for the project. Me doing photography, her styling the hair and makeup.
Soon after it was finished….I knew I was HOOKED. There was just something about creating this little dream world and photographing it….that made my heart sing! I didn’t know why or how, but I knew I needed to feel that again, and this shoot would only be the beginning!
A few months had gone by and we began to plan the next shoot. We knew we couldn’t handle all of the details alone, so we brought in Ashley of Patterns on Walls! Ashley now handles the florals, accessories, and details! Together, we planned the Ethereal Session, not knowing it was about to start a fire that would lead to a series of 6 concept shoots over the course of 2 years.
As we just passed number 3, I can’t help but feel SO blessed by the wonderful little team that makes this happen for me and knows so well how to bring my vision to life! Here are a few behind-the-scenes shots of Ashley and Celeste doin’ their thang at our various shoots! :)
As I mentioned, the first “Official” shoot of the series was Ethereal Beauty. A magical shoot that took place in the depths of the forest.
Here are a few of my favorites from Chapter 1 of The Fantasy Series. You can see the whole shoot, here.
Next up came Queen of the Marine, a soft and dreamy shipwreck inspired session.
You can see more of Chapter 2, here.
And most recently, the Secret Garden session. A shoot filled with spring flowers, pink, and sheer romance.
I have not released this session yet, but here are a few sneak peeks!
So what’s next? Well, I can hardly wait to show you! We’ve got 3 more awesome concepts up our sleeves and I can’t wait to get to work on them. This series has been such an amazing project and has allowed my creativity to soar.
Three chapters down, three to go.
I love these sets and can’t help but be stoked every time you go to release another. They’re swimming in fairy tale dreaminess. Can’t wait to see the Secret Garden session.
Where is that pink dress from! That is exactly the kind of dress I have been searching for, forever. It’s what I want to use whenever I can get “vow renewal” type pictures of my husband and I since we don’t have pictures of our wedding.
You’re so talented, friend! Love them all! Can’t wait to see your latest one :)
Everything is beautiful, k-booth! You’ve got such a great team :) I love those photos of celeste and ashley braving the ocean ;).
ahhhhh I love all of these! I can’t wait to see more! I wonder what you’re thinking for the next set. eeeppp! dreamy goodness right there! :)
Pretty darn awesome!
Love this whole concept SO much!!! I can only imagine how much fun you’re having!!
these are the most awwww inspiring pictures ive seen in a long time amazing job.
AMAZING!
just stunning. SO talented!
I’m so proud of you for building this business from scratch. The fantasy series does not surprise me in the LEAST. These are the types of things we were imagining when we would hang out after school waaayyyy back in the day. It’s good to see someone who has truly found her calling and frankly, I’m jealous! I want to get in on this idea! =]
I love the previews for the Secret Garden session and her pendent is so pretty :D
